Fairy Meadows, named by German Climbers (German Märchenwiese, “fairy tale meadows” and locally known as Joot, is a grassland near one of the base camp sites of Mount Nanga Parbat (an 8000 mtr peak), located in Diamer District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan.
At an altitude of about 3,300 meters above sea level, it serves as the launching point for trekkers summiting on the RakhiotFace of the Nanga Parbat. In 1995, the Government of Pakistan declared Fairy Meadows a National Park.
Fairy Meadows is approachable by a twelve-kilometer-long jeep-able trek starting from Raikhot Bridge on Karakoram Highway to the village of Tato. Further from Tato, it takes about three to four hours of hiking by a five-kilometer trek to Fairy Meadows. The grassland is located in the Rakhiot valley, at one end of the Rakhiot Glacier which originates from the Nanga Parbat and feeds a stream that finally falls into the River Indus. Since 1992, locals have operated camping sites in the area.
The six-month tourist season at Fairy Meadows starts in April and continues until the end of September. Tourists lodge at the camping site spread over 800 hectares (2 acres), known as “RakhiotSerai”.

Day 01: Islamabad – Naran
Pick up from Islamabad airport and departure for Naran (Approx.06 hrs Drive). On arrival check-in at the hotel.
Overnight stay at Hotel in Naran.
Day 02: Naran – Raikot Bridge – Fairy Meadows
After breakfast departure for fairy meadows (approx. 04 ½ hrs.) transfer to a jeep at Raikot bridge and drive to Tato Village (approx. 02hrs) and tracking to fairy meadows (approx. 03hrs) tracking you can take a pony as well.

Day 03: Fairy Meadows
After breakfast departure for view point of Nanga Parbat viewpoint (approx. 03 hrs.) en-route lunch at Bayal Camp after the viewpoint.

Day 04: Fairy Meadows – Raikot – Naran
After breakfast trek to Tato village and transfer to the jeep (approx. 02hrs) for Raikot bridge again transfer to the van and drive back to Islamabad (approx. 04hrs) on arrival visit Naran Bazar.

Day 05: Naran – Islamabad
After Breakfast Departure for Islamabad (approx. 06 hrs. drive) to a designated location.
Hunza – Fairy Meadows – Skardu Tour (9 Nights 10 Days)
Day 01
Pick up from Islamabad airport and departure for Naran (Approx.06 hrs. Drive).

Day 02
After Breakfast departure for Hunza (approx. 07 hrs. drive) en route visit Rakaposhi Viewpoint on arrival in Hunza.

Day 03
After Breakfast visit Ganesh village and the sacred rock of Hunza, Altit fort and Baltit fort. In the evening sunset view at eagle nest point.

Day 04
After breakfast departure for (approx. 04 hrs) Khunjerab Pass China border en-route visit Attabad Lake and Passu Cones, Passu Glacier and Batura Lake.

After breakfast departure for Fairy Meadows (approx 03 ½ hrs) transfer to the jeep at Raikot bridge and drive to Tato village (approx. 02hrs) and track to Fairy Meadows (approx. 03hrs).

After breakfast visit of Katpana Desert and Sarfaranga Desert. Later visit Khilingrong Mosque and Ambruiq Mosque in Shiger Valley.
Continue visit of upper Kachura Lake and Sokh Nala.

After breakfast departure for Deosai Plains (approx. 03 ½ hrs.) en-route visit Sadpara Lake and Bara Pani bridge Sheosar Lake.
