Gwadar Tour

Gwadar is a port city on the southwestern coast of Balochistan, Pakistan. The city is located on the shores of the Arabian Sea opposite Oman. Gwadar was an overseas possession of Oman from 1783 to 1958. It is about 120 km (75 mi) southwest of Turbat, while the sister port city of Chabahar in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan Province is about 170 km (110 mi) to the west of Gwadar.

In 1983, the Khan of Kalat granted sovereignty over Gwadar to Taimur Sultan, the defeated ruler of Muscat. When the Sultan subsequently regained Muscat, he was to continue his rule in Gwadar by appointing a Governor. On 8th September 1958, Pakistan purchased the Gwadar enclave from Oman; Gwadar officially became part of Pakistan on the 8th of December, 1958.

Gwadar is 0-300 meters above sea level, is mainly dry, arid and hot, the oceanic influence keeps the temperature lower in summer and higher in winter. As compared to the inland in Gwadar, winters are shorter than summers. The climate of Gwadar is semi-arid with hot summers with a maximum temperature of 35 Celsius and its temperature falls up to 13 Celsius during the month of January and February.

Itinerary

Gwadar Tour: 2 Nights 3 Days

Day 1 Karachi – Ormara – Gwadar

Pick up from Karachi at 0600 hrs. and departure for Ormara (approx. 05 ½ hrs. drive) along the Makran Coast. Along the road, you can see natural mountains decorated with carvings made of mud. The decorations make you wonder if local artisans have designed these spectacular Designs.

A short stopover at Kund Malir, Prince of Hope & Mud Volcano Also known as Chandrakup Continue the drive through the Hingol National Park, which was home to marsh crocodiles, Olive Ridley Turtles, leopards, Asian Cheetahs, Persian wild goats, urials, chinkaras, hyenas, and spot-billed Pelicans and the Houbara bustard. Here is also the famous Hindu pilgrimage site of Hinglaj The reputation of Hinglaj as a holy place precedes the Arab invasion and the advent of Sufism towards the Sindh region. This sacred place of pilgrimage is particularly situated in a mountain cave “Hinglaj” on the river bank of “Hingol” at the foothills of “Kheerthar” mountains called “Kanraj” in the Lyari district of Baluchistan; it is considered one of the famous and biggest “Teeraths” of Indo Pak subcontinent. This Teerath has its importance in ancient human history. Devotees from all around the world worshipped the “Hinglaj Mata Teerath” for centuries. Suggested Lunch at Ormara, later drive to Gwadar club (approx 03 hrs drive).

Day 02Gwadar

After breakfast enjoy a day of leisure by exploring the beaches stretching for miles and Beach fun and (Optional) enjoy a boat ride and fishing on a traditional boat in the Arabian Sea. In the evening enjoy the suggested dinner and sunset viewing at Gwadar, the cliff where the Pearl Continental Hotel is located.

Day 03Gwadar – Karachi

After breakfast departure for Karachi (approx.09 hrs drive) Later, on the way back you can have a stop at Ormara beach for lunch on arrival drop to the designated location in Karachi.
